If more in-depth troubleshooting is needed to resolve your QuickHelp question, one of the things we may ask for is called a Fiddler Trace. Fiddler is a free web debugging proxy (http://www.telerik.com/fiddler). A fiddler trace captures HTTP and HTTPS traffic, and will provide us with information that is being passed between QuickHelp and your computer. To generate the most effective fiddler trace, follow these steps after downloading and installing fiddler:

  1. Launch Fiddler
  2. Go to the Tools menu
  3. Choose Options
  4. Click the HTTPS tab (VERY IMPORTANT!!)
  5. Check the box for Decrypt HTTPS Traffic
  6. Click OK through any messages that pop up
  7. Click OK out of the Fiddler Options dialog
  8. With fiddler running, and Capture Traffic (F12 or File > Capture Traffic) selected, repeat whatever steps in QuickHelp that are causing the issue
  9. Save the fiddler file (save as a .saz), and attach it to your ticket
